13 Reasons Why Season 2

Season 2 is set within the courtroom and will look at school liability and who was at fault for Hannah’s suicide. Educate yourself. Suicide prevention needs to be widely known. Reach out and be informed. It’s time to start having the right discussions, because people are already talking.

Suicide Prevention Allies is encouraging adults to monitor youth who are watching this show and have safe discussions around the content depicted. Season 2 depicts a graphic sexual assault and a near school shooting event.

SPA would like to remind adults and youth that this show is meant for entertainment and is not education. We highly encourage adults to engage youth in open and accurate conversations around how to prevent, mitigate, and alert adults to the situations depicted in the show. We do not encourage youth to mirror the actions of the actors who are playing roles. We know that youth will probably be intrigued and may want to watch the show, we want to share a few talking points and encourage safe discussion and messaging in regards to the controversial content it depicts, especially that related to Suicide.
