We’re Talking Podcast Interview

I had the absolute pleasure of being interviewed by Chris Potter on his We’re Talking podcast this week. We covered a lot of ground and I shared a few key moments in my life and how my work has helped me through difficult times.

Total Air Force Training

I’m absolutely undeniably thankful to be able to offer guidance and to continually learn in all the ways I do. Last week the Little Rock Air Force Base trained their new crop of trainers and it was my honor to sit in the room and play a part. Passion, it never ceases to amaze me how many people are working to help one another.

Don’t give up hope. They’re out there, we’re out here, trying. Every day trying to make a difference.

Kudos to Elizabeth Bishop and Ashley Shippee for all the work they do for their Air Force Base. They deserve recognition, thanks, and copious treats. Chocolate is always a good bet, right?

CCTP to Serve Our Service Members

That’s a wrap on the Community Clergy Training Program Event. Two days of talking about how to better engage faith communities in rural areas across the country so we can serve our veterans who are dealing with PTSD, moral injury, suicidal ideation, and transitions.

People from across the country from Hawaii to Alaska working on helping those who have served all of us. Our veterans need us just as much as we need them and so many are fighting for them in so many ways.

I’m thankful that Congress saw this as a promising practice and chose to not only create and support but also to help fund this beautiful work.

We’re trying. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was a stronger, healthier America for us all.

Thank you, Steve Sully for your heart, vision, and your grace to include me in this opportunity. You have truly blessed my life in ways I cannot repay.

Support our veterans and learn what that means, it starts with you, it starts with me, it starts with all of us trying to understand what that even means.

For my dad, who I wish we would’ve caught before he was lost.
