Comanche Nation

This week, I’ve had the honor of being invited to speak for the Comanche Nation alongside Sgt. Kevin Briggs, Kevin Berthia, Chaske Spencer, and Alex Meraz.

We were invited to attend their powwow last night, where they honored us as a thank you for sharing our knowledge.

Someone asked me yesterday if I enjoy my work, and I told them it can be hard at times. It’s hard because when you come from a background of working in the community, you find yourself experiencing so many unforgettable moments, moments like I’ve had this week. I deeply miss connecting with people, face to face, story to story, soul to soul every day. This week has refueled my heart and I know I can carry on for quite some time now.

My life has definitely known hard times, but I am beyond blessed to be living this life mission and to be able to witness the world the way I do.

Thank you to Donald Ramos, for inviting me into your community. To Kevin and Kevin for everything you do and your support. To Edmund for sharing your community wisdom with me so kindly, and to everyone else I’ve had a chance to share space with this week.
