In 2019, I was blessed to find myself working in suicide prevention across Arkansas and beyond. I spent countless hours trying to further efforts to help those who desperately need it.

On top of my “day job,” I volunteered 176 hours across different communities.

Beyond volunteering, I personally spoke to countless moms, acquaintances, friends, family members, and individuals who needed guidance, an attentive ear, or reassurance through dark and difficult times. I will never know exactly how many calls or messages I’ve taken this past year, but they have stayed in my heart. Every single one of them.

For 2020, I hope to continue to grow and give back to the world. I hope to continue to be able to volunteer by growing my consulting business, so I have the luxury of helping others. I also hope those in need will continue to find one another and learn how to survive even in the darkest times.

2019 hasn’t been easy. Some of you may know some of my personal struggles this past year, but few know them all.

I pray 2020 will be kinder, more fulfilling, full of love and light, steadier, and a year spent with all the people I adore and who adore me.

If you’re one of my people, I want to see you. Let’s volunteer, have lunch, grab a coffee, read poetry, and send silly texts. Let’s connect more this coming year even when our times are tough, even in times like this.

And to each and every one of you who has taken the time to show me I am loved, I cannot possibly Thank you enough. But now is the time to start trying.

Your time, words, thoughts, and consideration have meant so very much to me these past four weeks. Thank you for letting me take up a tiny place in your hearts. Thank you for taking up space in mine.

Here’s to a New and Happy Year for all of us. May your 2020 be a perfect vision of the future you want to see.
